2021

2021 was no easy run, with the new year coming along with massive floods to our HQ in Diss, Norfolk. These floods caused an enormous amount of damage to our products and equipment, with production halted and all staff that could work remotely doing so.

However we overcame these troubles and had a highly successful year off the back of them. Glazing Vision ended 2021 in their strongest position they have ever been in, pioneering skylight technology all over the world.

2020

With the COVID-19 pandemic emerging in early 2020, Glazing Vision were naturally hit with slower lead times and higher costs. We managed to withhold our market leading position with ease and became even stronger within the industry.

In September of the same year we successfully completed a Management Buyout, handing over the reigns to Group Managing Director, Jon Shooter, and now majority shareholder. This secured even more long term investment for the corporation.

2017-18

With investment secured, Glazing Vision sets up a dedicated US sales office and warehouse space, its new team can now reach out to architects, contractors and developers offering local expertise and advice. Glazing Vision launch a new website, glassskylights.com to showcase their latest projects stateside and several large orders are secured with specialist developer, Dixon Projects in New York.

Back in the UK, Glazing Vision reach into the pitched roof market with the release of the Pitchglaze fixed roof window. Designed to be installed in pitched tiled roof applications flush (in plane) with the tiling line, building occupants can now enjoy sky only views from the roof window.

Early 2018 saw continuous innovation at Glazing Vision with the release of the Pitchvent product, a UKCA marked ventilation roof window designed to be installed in pitched tiled roof applications.

2015-16

Glazing Vision successfully passes its BSI ISO14001 Environmental audit meaning that it is now certificated by BSI for both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 under certificate numbers FM 596998 and EMS 613885.

Glazing Vision Flushglaze and VisionVent products are submitted for attack testing at the Building Research Establishment and are the first in the UK to be tested to LPS2081 Issue 1:2015 issued by the Loss Prevention Certification Board, meaning that they comply with changes to Building Regulations Approved Document Q: Security in Dwellings.

These products are also awarded the Secured by Design mark making them the security skylight of choice for many home owners.

Record growth finds the company posting sales of over £10 million and investment is secured for USA operation.

2013

Glazing Vision invest heavily in Research & Development, developing a new suite of profiles allowing the use of 1.5″ polyamide thermal breaks. The re-design improves thermal performance and specific attention is paid to air permeability on the sliding skylights range leading to new patent applied for seal designs. These next generation skylights significantly exceed minimum performance criteria set out in Building Regulation Part L and thanks to their involvement with a Low Carbon KEEP knowledge transfer program with Anglia Ruskin University, Glazing Vision use their expertise to provide full thermal calculations that back up their performance claims.

Support funded the foundation of a registered charity ‘The Missing Kind’ with the acquisition of HQ building, a Greencare site and the first year set up and operational cost. A charity designed to support all sectors of need to help alleviate poverty and social injustice. Created to support passionate people in the social sector, helping these generous and dedicated people to deliver their social objective.
