We are proud to have partnered with In Deep Ship, an ocean rowing team embarking on an extraordinary challenge this month named The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.
Jessica Goddard, Joe Lewis, Lauren Hunt and Jessica Mullins have swapped their desk and city based jobs for the water, and are currently pushing themselves to their limits. The Talisker Whisky Atlantic challenge is a 4800 kilometre rowing mission from La Gomera in the Canary Islands, to Antigua in the Caribbean. Together they will row unaided for 20 hours a day and will have to contend with extreme weather, sleep deprivation and isolation, with the journey taking at least 40 days.
They are taking on this challenge to help raise money for 3 different charities, Crisis UK and Covenant House CA, two charities that support the homeless community, and Anthony Nolan UK, a charity that finds stem cell transplants for people with blood cancer. In Deep Ship aim to raise £60,000 in total which will be split between these incredible charities.
The race began on Sunday 12th December and the team are making great progress! Keep up-to-date with how the team are getting on by following them on Instagram. We wish them the best of luck and we are behind them all the way!
