NEW, IMPROVED AND DESIGNED FOR USE
Glazing Vision have just released new and improved versions of our ever-popular Skybox skylights. These units provide access, natural ventilation and daylight to dwellings. Best of all, a significant amount of the initial cost can be recouped from the increased property value of adding a private patio, roof garden, or any number of alternative outdoor living spaces.
There are two standard versions of this product:
- A ‘three wall box’ which is designed to be enclosed within the building fabric.
- A ‘free standing box’ which stands alone and is glazed on all faces.
Both of these skylights feature a retracting glazed section that slides over a fixed section of glass, providing a clear 50% opening and sufficient head height for easy access.
By utilizing a new ultra minimal extruded aluminum framework design, our glass to framework ratios have been dramatically improved.
For a sleek but robust weather-proof finish, both internal and external finishes are available in any RAL color using a Qualicoat approved powder coating system.
The Skybox has been installed on roof tops throughout the country, our first installation was in 2010 in Martha’s Vineyard. Since that time the Skybox has achieved landmarks approval in both New York and Boston.
These skylights come with lots of features, including manual overrides, infa-red protection to stop getting anything caught in the skylight when closing. Smart controls, temperature sensors, rain sensors and even a re-entry keypad so you wont get stuck out on the roof.
