One of the main considerations when choosing a Skybox skylight is how you are going to get it to the roof.  In most instances a crane is required, if you contact Glazing Vision we can put you in contact with a crane company that can come and asses the requirements.

Another consideration is whether the Skybox will be seen from the street, this can effect getting approval from planners.  Dixon projects worked hard to get the Skybox approved for use throughout New York and New Jersey.  They wanted all of their properties to have roof terraces and were looking for a sleek solutions for their houses.

Finally when choosing a Skybox you need to decide whether you want some sort of solar control on the glass, due to the amount of glass it can get quite a lot of heat gain.  Either that or you could request a temperature sensor so the Skybox opens for ventilation when it gets hot.

The skybox has landmarks approval which assists in gaining planning consent.
